Artist and Conservator

Growing up on a sheep station in outback New South Wales triggered my senses to the harmony, vibrancy and power of my ever-changing and unpredictable environment. As a young child, the vast spaces of Junee were a playground for the free and the curious, an open door for my  waiting canvas. The land and everything that it housed enticed me with brilliant colours, and irresistable textures and sounds—a moving and living landscape. While the contexts for my work now embrace different cultural influences arising from many years living in Singapore, the Junee inner canvas is the soul of my work.
